“There is a problem with the Dependent Start Date” error message. What does this mean? How can I fix it?
You received a Dependent Start Date error for one of the following reasons:

The Dependent Start Date is missing. A Start Date is required for all dependents. To correct this error, enter the appropriate Start Date and resubmit your dependent data.

The Dependent Start Date is in an invalid format. The Dependent Start Date must be formatted in the following manner: mm/dd/yyyy. Note that a 4-digit year is required. To correct this error, reformat the date and resubmit your dependent data.
