“There is a problem with the Hire Date” error message. What does this mean? How can I fix it?
You received a Hire Date error for one of the following reasons:

The Hire Date is missing for an employee. Hire Date is required, unless the individual’s job status is “non-employee.” To correct this error, enter the appropriate Hire Date and resubmit your data.

The Hire Date is in an invalid format. The Hire Date must be formatted in the following manner: mm/dd/yyyy. Note that a 4-digit year is required.To correct this error, reformat the date and resubmit your data.

The Hire Date listed is in the future. The employee’s hire date must occur prior to or during the current reporting year, or they should not be included in this year’s reports. To correct this error, make sure the Hire Date is not after the current reporting year and resubmit your data.
