ACA Track won’t open my data file. On the New Data Batch upload page, when I select my file, the file name appears in red, but the file will not open. What should I do?
If ACA Track runs into a problem
when it attempts to open your employee or dependent data file, it will stop the
upload process and display the selected file name in red, indicating it cannot
be opened:
If you experience this issue, please
take the following steps:
- Make sure your file is closed and
saved directly to your computer. Do not try to select the file directly from a
cloud-based storage server.
- Make sure the file or workbook is
not password protected.
- Remove any external links contained
within the file.
- Save the file in .XLS or .XLSX
format. No other formats are supported.
Once you have taken all of the above
steps, return to the New Data Batch upload page and select your file again. If
the problem persists, contact your project manager.
